The exemption point for the Osaka Prefecture Accommodation Tax, in effect from January 1, 2017, decreased from 10,000 yen to 7,000 yen effective June 1, 2019.

Accommodation tax rate (Before revision; Applicable until May 31, 2019)
- Up to 10,000 yen → No tax
- 10,000 yen to 14,999 yen → 100 yen
- 15,000 yen to 19,999 yen → 200 yen
- 20,000 yen or more → 300 yen
